Stronger
togetherRepresentation, participitation
and support for PRH medical staff.
Through representation, professional development, collaboration and community-building, the MSA helps members connect with one another, participate in the life of the hospital and contribute to a stronger practice environment.
Get involved.
The strength of the MSA comes from members who participate. Whether you have a little time or a lot, there are many ways to contribute, connect with colleagues and help shape the medical staff community at PRH. Ways to participate:
- Serve on the PRHMSA Board
- Join a committee, including Member Wellness or Continuing Professional Development
- Participate in projects and initiatives
- Attend member events
- Help welcome and recruit future colleagues
Interested in getting involved? We can help you find an opportunity that fits your interests and availability.
Help welcome our future colleagues.
Recruitment dinners give current MSA members an opportunity to welcome prospective physicians, answer questions about practising at PRH and introduce them to the medical community they could become part of. The MSA provides up to $500 per recruitment dinner to help make these connections possible.
Who is eligible for recruitment dinner funding?
Funding is available for recruitment dinners involving:
- Locum physicians actively exploring permanent practice opportunities at PRH
- Residents nearing completion of their training
- Physicians participating in recruitment site visits or working recruitment visits
What are the Recruitment Dinner Funding Guidelines
Where a physician site visit or working recruitment visit is eligible for Interior Health recruitment funding, departments are expected to access that funding first. Where appropriate, the MSA may provide supplementary support, subject to available funding.
Funding covers meals for current MSA members and recruitment candidates. Non-MSA attendees may also be reimbursed where their participation directly supports physician recruitment.
In accordance with Facility Engagement funding guidelines, spouses and family members are not eligible for reimbursement.
Funding is limited to food and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol is not eligible for reimbursement through Facility Engagement or Member Dues funding.
One association. Many areas of practice.
PRHMSA brings together medical staff from across the hospital and community, representing a broad mix of disciplines, specialties and types of practice. Together, members bring different perspectives and expertise to a shared medical staff community.

Your dues make a difference
Member dues are reinvested in activities that support medical staff and the broader PRH community from continuing medical education and member engagement to advocacy, scholarships and charitable giving. Together, these investments help create opportunities to learn, participate and contribute beyond day-to-day clinical practice.
